I was really sorry to hear this news and my condolences to all of Andy's family. My memories go back to the 80's, when Andy was working at Xenotron and I was working at Monotype. The companies had a close relationship, so I got to know Andy then, particularly at Exhibitions. We had some fun, that's for sure. In particular, one in Germany, after a session on the beer, Andy ended up in a shopping trolley. As "they" say, those were the days. Great laugh, which epitomised Andy. Rest in Peace friend.
